About the position

As an Outside Sales Representative at AT-PAC, you will serve as the voice and initial point of contact for our industry-leading company. This role is crucial in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers in the industrial and construction sectors, particularly within the oil & gas, mining, refining, power, infrastructure, and commercial construction industries. Your primary responsibilities will include submitting regular sales reports to management, informing potential and existing customers about product features and benefits, and resolving customer complaints effectively. You will be expected to create and present persuasive sales proposals to encourage sales and foster repeat business. In this position, you will build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers within your assigned sales territory. This will involve traveling within the territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with customers, continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products, and developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive sales. You will also maintain accurate records of all leads, customer accounts, and sales activities, collaborating with the marketing department to expand brand presence through suitable marketing materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for researching competitors' products and pricing, as well as market conditions, to keep abreast of the latest industry developments. This may involve attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events. Strategic negotiation with potential and existing customers will be key to closing sales and achieving your targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven outside sales experience.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Strong consultative sales skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
