As an Outside Sales Representative at JASPER Engines & Transmissions, you will play a crucial role in representing the company and driving sales in the automotive industry. This position is focused on cultivating business relationships with customers in northeast New Jersey, particularly in Newark and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for reaching out to independent repair facilities, local fleets, city and government entities, marinas, and national accounts. The ideal candidate will reside within the designated territory to effectively manage and grow customer relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing a proven sales system supported by marketing materials, developing and implementing strategic plans to capitalize on sales opportunities, and working closely with small businesses as well as regional managers of large fleets. You will conduct needs assessments, create sales proposals, and deliver presentations to potential clients. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including inside sales, customer service, production, and distribution, will be essential to ensure customer satisfaction and successful account management. In this role, you will also introduce new products and updates to clients, focusing on building long-term, value-based relationships. A significant part of your job will involve prospecting to identify new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence.
