As an Outside Sales Representative at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in connecting people and communities by offering best-in-class telecommunication services. This position involves door-to-door solicitation of new prospective customers, where you will actively engage with the community to promote and sell our services. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new residential customers through direct contact, utilizing assigned leads to maximize your outreach efforts. You will conduct proactive consultative needs analyses to understand customer requirements and develop tailored sales presentations that effectively communicate the benefits of our products and services. In this role, you will be expected to complete all necessary paperwork to support your sales activities, ensuring compliance with quality control guidelines. This includes accurately entering sales orders, dispositioning leads, and reporting on your sales performance. You will also be an integral part of the sales team, participating in meetings and training programs to enhance your skills and contribute to team goals. Achieving monthly sales quotas across various services, including high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video sales, will be a key performance indicator for your success. Additionally, you will need to stay informed about competitors' activities within your assigned territory, providing feedback to your manager regarding any changes in competitive pricing or marketing strategies. Your ability to work independently, coupled with your strong interpersonal skills, will be essential as you navigate the challenges of this role. You will also be required to work evenings and weekends as needed to maximize customer contact opportunities, and you must be comfortable spending a significant amount of time outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
