About the position

As an Outside Sales Representative at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in connecting people and communities by offering best-in-class telecommunication services. This position involves door-to-door solicitation of new prospective customers, where you will actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new residential customers through direct contact from assigned leads, conducting proactive consultative needs analyses to understand customer requirements better. In this role, you will develop and present tailored sales presentations and proposals that align with the needs of your customers. It is essential to accurately complete all necessary paperwork to support your sales activities, ensuring compliance with quality control guidelines. You will also be expected to participate actively in all sales meetings and training programs, supporting team goals and achieving monthly sales quotas across various products, including high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video services. Additionally, you will need to stay well-informed about competitors' activities in your assigned territory, reporting any changes in competitive pricing programs or marketing strategies to your manager. This position requires a commitment to ongoing training and the ability to perform other duties as requested by your supervisor, ensuring that you are equipped to succeed in your sales efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to listen and formulate needs-based sales strategies.
  • Strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A valid driver's license and car insurance with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
