We are looking for a dedicated Outside Sales Representative to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth and revenue generation by identifying, prospecting, and closing new business opportunities. Your efforts will be crucial in expanding our customer base and establishing strong, lasting relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer relationship management skills, demonstrate excellent product knowledge, and be comfortable negotiating and closing deals. This position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with an average salary ranging from $75,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on performance. You will also enjoy a generous accrual rate for paid time off (PTO) and be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401k with company match after your introductory period. As a Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include prospecting and lead generation, consultative selling, negotiation and closing, customer relationship management, market and competitive analysis, product knowledge, documentation, and ensuring safety in all operations. You will spend much of your time in the field, traveling within your assigned territory, which will expose you to various work environments, including both residential and industrial settings. While you will be home every night, the role requires extensive driving and physical activity, including lifting and moving heavy items. Technically, you should have a strong sales acumen, be proficient in consultative and solution-based selling techniques, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels.
  • Cold call, email, and network to generate leads and create a strong pipeline.
  • Understand client needs and pain points to tailor solutions that address their business challenges.
  • Present and demonstrate products/services effectively, highlighting their value.
  • Skillfully negotiate terms, pricing, and contract details to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Close sales deals and achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Use market insights to adapt sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Understand the details of the products and services being sold.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records with appropriate pictures attached.
  • Practice safe driver policies at all times.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and practice proper incident reporting procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver License.
  • Ability to successfully pass a driving record check according to company auto liability insurance requirements.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle for 6 hours per day.
  • Demonstrated competency in computer and tablet use.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to self-direct activities and manage time to ensure productivity.
  • Ability to successfully pass criminal background and drug screening checks as per company requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 90lbs on a repetitive basis.
