About the position

We are looking for a hungry Outside Sales Superstar to join our thriving family-and employee-owned building materials and lumber company! This position offers a total compensation package of $130,000 - $150,000, along with lucrative commissions. The ideal candidate should possess a hunter mentality, consistently prospecting and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes acquiring new customers and increasing sales by cross-selling building materials to existing lumber customers. Approximately 85% of the time will be spent prospecting, engaging in fieldwork, cold calling, and face-to-face sales interactions. The remaining 10%-15% will be dedicated to in-store team meetings, one-on-ones, and training sessions. You will have the opportunity to build and cultivate your own book of business while learning and mastering the company's internal sales software. Ideal candidates will have sales experience in the concrete industry, targeting concrete subcontractors for residential or commercial projects, or similar industries such as construction, rebar, and building materials. The company sells hardware and lumber to contractors and DIY enthusiasts, making this role crucial for driving sales and expanding market reach. Responsibilities

  • Prospect and pursue new business opportunities to acquire new customers.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of outside sales experience.
  • Sales experience in the concrete industry or related industries (construction, hardware, building materials, rebar, etc.).
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a hunger for high earning potential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling to contractors.
  • Familiarity with building materials sales.
  • Experience in B2B sales.
