About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at Jasper Engines & Transmissions is responsible for cultivating business relationships and driving sales within a designated territory in Northeast New York and parts of Vermont and New Hampshire. This role focuses on engaging with independent repair facilities, local fleets, and government entities to promote the company's re-manufactured engines and transmissions. The representative will utilize a proven sales system, develop sales proposals, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals and build long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a proven system of selling with supportive marketing material.
  • Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers in territory.
  • Work with small businesses and regional managers of large worldwide fleets.
  • Perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals and presentations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (inside sales, customer service, production, distribution).
  • Plan and manage accounts.
  • Introduce new products and updates.
  • Develop then build long-term value-based relationships.
  • Focus on prospecting to grow the business.

Requirements

  • Degree or two-plus years of sales experience.
  • Hunter sales mentality.
  • Motivation as a self-starter.
  • Automotive background/knowledge.
  • Integrity and honesty.
