JASPER Engines & Transmissions, a leader in re-manufactured engines and transmissions since 1942, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is crucial in our mission to become the Brand of Choice for our Customers and the Employer of Choice for Associate-Owners. The Outside Sales Representative will serve as the face of the company, focusing on cultivating business relationships with customers in the Galesburg, Monmouth, and Moline areas of Illinois, as well as Burlington, Davenport, Cedar Rapids, and Waterloo in Iowa (Territory 516). The ideal candidate must reside within this territory to effectively engage with local clients. In this position, you will be responsible for calling on independent repair facilities, local fleets, city and government entities, marinas, and national accounts. You will utilize a proven sales system supported by marketing materials to develop and implement strategic plans that capitalize on all sales opportunities for your assigned customers. This role requires you to work closely with small businesses and regional managers of large worldwide fleets, performing needs assessments and crafting tailored sales proposals and presentations. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with cross-functional teams, including inside sales, customer service, production, and distribution, to plan and manage accounts effectively. You will also introduce new products and updates to clients, focusing on building long-term, value-based relationships while actively prospecting to grow the business. This position offers a starting base salary of $60,000 to $70,000, with opportunities for quarterly bonuses based on territory growth and the potential to transition to a full commission structure to maximize earnings.
