About the position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for all aspects of dry ice sales, which includes the distribution and application of equipment. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining relationships with current customers while also focusing on the development of new customer accounts. The representative will report directly to the Region Sales Manager, making it essential to align with the company's sales strategies and objectives. In this position, the representative will be expected to maintain a high level of personal safety performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves driving profitable growth within the assigned territory, which requires proactive prospecting for new business opportunities. The representative will negotiate contracts for both new and existing accounts, manage a portfolio of existing business to maximize gross profit, and provide first-line product and application support to customers and prospects. Effective communication is crucial, as the representative will coordinate and manage interactions between customers and the company. Timely reporting of sales activities to management is also a key responsibility. The representative will identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with team members to enhance sales efforts. Additionally, the role may involve supporting the collections process, addressing customer issues, and managing assets as required. Demonstrations of equipment may be necessary, and the representative will utilize value-based selling skills to achieve price attainment initiatives. The position requires light work with travel expectations of up to 80%.

Responsibilities

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and hand-off to other team members.
  • Support collections process, customer issues, and asset management as required.
  • Perform demonstrations as required for equipment.
  • Utilize value based selling skills.
  • Implement price attainment initiatives.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 3 years related experience and/or training
  • College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
