We are looking for a skilled and motivated Sales Representative for the Jacksonville, FL area. This exempt position will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The primary responsibilities of this role include selling ready mix concrete and concrete block, developing, analyzing, and maintaining market intelligence, and networking to build and maintain customer relationships both internally and externally. The Sales Representative will also be involved in promotional activities and trade association participation. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and reasoning skills, along with a solid business acumen that allows for deep discussions with customers. A technical orientation and computer literacy are essential, as is a desire to win and produce results. Demonstrated leadership and managerial potential are also important attributes for this role. A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record for the past seven years are required. The Sales Representative will demonstrate a commitment to safety policies in all work environments. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling visits to existing accounts in the assigned territory, suggesting products for accounts to order, and facilitating problem resolution. The representative will prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made, following up on new leads and referrals from field activity. They will oversee new and existing account services through quality checks and follow-ups, identifying and resolving client concerns as needed. Additionally, the representative will prepare various status reports, including trends in territory, upcoming events, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to goals, while addressing and resolving customer service inquiries, requests, and complaints.
