About the position

Unitis Contractor Supplies is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our rapidly growing team in the construction industry. This role is pivotal in driving sales and fostering relationships with both new and existing customers throughout Southern California, specifically servicing our Buena Park branch and covering North Orange County. The Outside Sales Representative will work both on-site and remotely, with business hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. In this position, you will be responsible for developing effective relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for growth, and improving the profitability of established accounts. You will play a crucial role in helping to grow the bottom line by bringing in new business and enhancing existing accounts. This includes regularly reviewing assigned accounts to identify trends that can lead to additional sales and taking ownership of all business opportunities in your area. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be adaptable to changing client needs, and possess excellent communication skills. You will be expected to maintain a calm demeanor while multitasking and managing time effectively to meet company deadlines. Additionally, you will receive hands-on training and experience in the sales and construction industry, which will be invaluable as you develop your career with us.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective relationships with new and existing customers.

Requirements

  • A college degree in business is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of sales experience is required.
  • Some experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to drive sales and achieve defined goals.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in business performance to meet client and company needs.
  • Excellent communication skills across various platforms.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.
