About the position

Florida Express Environmental (FEE) is a local family-owned environmental services company with over forty-five years of experience in the solid waste industry. The company prides itself on its mission statement, "Customer Service Dedicated, Environmentally Responsible," which reflects its commitment to providing exceptional service while being environmentally responsible. The Outside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in promoting and selling the company's products and services to a diverse clientele, including residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the Central Florida area, specifically in Marion, Alachua, Lake, Sumter, and Levy counties. The primary responsibilities of the Outside Sales Representative include generating new customer accounts by prospecting and cultivating leads, effectively communicating the features and benefits of the company's offerings, and closing sales. The representative will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service to existing clients, ensuring their needs are met, and maintaining strong relationships. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, as well as the ability to complete contracts and forms in accordance with company policies and procedures. The representative will be expected to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during the day shift, and will be provided with a company vehicle and an iPhone to facilitate their work.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services to the general public, consumer, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Provide customer service to clients.
• Prospect and cultivate leads to generate new customer accounts for all company products and services.
• Convey the features, advantages, and benefits of the company products and services to prospective customers, closing the sale.
• Complete contracts and forms according to company policy and procedures, including performing such duties as Management may request.
• Check in on existing customers.
• Perform additional duties as requested by Florida Express Environmental.
• Service Central Florida.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the waste industry (e.g., shredding, waste management, recycling, spill response).
• Valid Driver's License for required travel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with CRM programs.
• Knowledge of clerical skills and general clerical experience.
• Ability to communicate services selling effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and possess organizational skills.
