About the position

Buy the Truck is a leading flooring importer seeking a strong, highly motivated, experienced floor covering sales representative. This position is crucial for driving sales and expanding our market presence in the broader Milwaukee, WI area and its surroundings. The successful candidate will be responsible for calling on accounts to place orders for our extensive inventory of wood, vinyl, and laminate flooring products, which totals 10 million feet in U.S. inventory. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, as the representative will need to develop relationships with both current and potential customers, ensuring they are well-informed about our product offerings and the competitive landscape. The representative will be expected to assist customers by providing in-depth product knowledge, managing displays, samples, and selling tools effectively. They will also be responsible for quoting prices, discussing credit terms for orders, and estimating delivery dates to customers. Utilizing all available marketing tools, including product catalogs and websites, will be essential to broaden the reach within the territory and promote our flooring products effectively. This position demands a self-starter who is not only motivated but also possesses a strong desire to succeed in a competitive market. Given the nature of the role, 100% travel is required within the designated territory and surrounding states. The representative will need to be flexible and adaptable, as they will be working primarily on the road, engaging with clients and building lasting relationships that drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with current customers and potential customers within specific territory

Requirements

  • FLOORING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Desire to succeed and be a motivated self-starter with proven sales experience
  • Ability to develop new leads by cold calling and making appointments
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for growth and development
  • Ability to present oneself in a highly cooperative and professional manner when meeting customers
