About the position

The Outside Sales Representative role involves representing the company by providing sales and customer service, generating sales through understanding customer needs and design specifications. This position acts as a liaison between the inside design staff, production staff, and customers to develop sales proposals, primarily spending time away from the office making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services and products.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and customer service under direct supervision.
• Generate sales by gathering data on customer needs and design specifications.
• Act as a liaison between inside design staff, production staff, and customers in developing sales proposals.
• Spend the majority of daily activities away from the employer's place of business making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services and products.
• Develop knowledge of effective sales techniques and familiarity with the industry and company products and services.
• Accompany more experienced Outside Sales Reps or Sales Manager on customer calls to learn effective sales and customer service techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 0 - 2 years of industry sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
