About the position

Energy Management Corporation is seeking Outside Sales Representatives in Burley, Idaho, to join our dynamic team. As a 43-year-old and growing industrial automation company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, we specialize in selling and servicing electrical motors, drives, and generators. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical competencies to identify, qualify, and deliver industrial solutions to End Users and Contractors, while also providing value to Design Engineers throughout the specification process. This role offers a significant amount of autonomy, allowing the Outside Sales Rep to achieve success while adhering to company policies, procedures, and sales programs, including timely CRM documentation and pipeline management. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing an account plan to drive goal attainment in their assigned territory. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to develop new business, as demonstrated through invoiced orders, bookings, sales pipeline development, and daily activity. The sales portfolio includes Electric Motors, Variable Frequency Drives, Emergency Standby Generators, and related field services such as Arc Flash. The chosen candidate will become a trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision-makers, ensuring that their needs are met with innovative solutions. Candidates should possess a high-energy, self-motivated, and hardworking attitude, with a commitment to honesty and integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, and candidates must be willing to undergo a drug/alcohol screening exam and provide a current motor vehicle report with a good driving record. Physical demands of the job include the ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift and move up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring close vision and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to fulfill physical duties of the job, including standing or walking for long periods.
  • Willingness to take a drug/alcohol-screening exam before and/or after employment.
  • Provide a current motor vehicle report with a good driving record.
