About the position

The Salon Business Partner (SBP) at SalonCentric is a pivotal role focused on fostering growth and development within the local Stylist and Salon community. This position is responsible for supplying the best products, education, and innovation that the professional beauty industry has to offer. The SBP will work diligently to meet and exceed sales objectives within their assigned territory by leveraging brand-provided education, sales promotions, and professional business development strategies. The role involves coordinating with OMNI channels and brand partners to organize essential education and training events that drive promotional opportunities in salons and stores. Additionally, the SBP will attend prominent industry trade shows and events to deepen customer relationships and expand the SalonCentric brand presence. In this role, the SBP will engage in consultative sales, developing tailored business plans for local Salon Partners. This includes collaborating with small business owners to identify their goals and challenges, and providing customized solutions to foster long-term success. The SBP will utilize a multi-faceted approach to business development, ensuring that salon owners receive the support they need through regular consultations and meetings. The position also requires monitoring sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities, ensuring that the SBP meets monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives. Education and training are critical components of the SBP's responsibilities. The SBP will coordinate with internal brand partners to schedule and promote educational events, workshops, and training sessions tailored to the needs of salon owners and their staff. Staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities is essential to maintain a competitive edge in the salon business landscape. The SBP will also manage administrative tasks, including remote order entry and maintaining customer information, while effectively utilizing digital platforms and social media to engage the local salon community.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage OMNI channel support teams to develop salon relationships through tailored business plans.
  • Conduct regular meetings with salon business owners to understand their goals and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal business leaders to develop and execute sales strategies and promotional activities.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate and promote education and training events for salon partners.
  • Partner with salon leadership to develop training plans based on their needs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Manage remote-order entry and other administrative duties in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the effectiveness of beauty partner programs.

Requirements

  • High school degree required, bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year demonstrated outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with emphasis on consultative selling.
  • Demonstrated consultative and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, flexible, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Possesses a valid state driver's license, good driving record, and required auto insurance policy levels.
  • Must live within assigned sales territory.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Windows-based (MS Office) systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus.
