About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for selling products and services to customers in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling units (MDU) areas or properties that have 20 or more doors. Your primary method of outreach will be through door-to-door solicitation and organizing lobby events to engage potential customers. You will actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience, ensuring that you meet established objectives related to monthly sales goals, increased sales volume, and penetration through assigned leads and property portfolios. Your responsibilities will include soliciting residential customers directly through door-to-door efforts and lobby events, as well as generating incremental revenue from existing customers by introducing new or additional services. You will be expected to respond to customer problems and complaints in accordance with company policy, following through to ensure that issues are resolved satisfactorily. Maintaining a well-informed knowledge base of competitor activities within your assigned territory is crucial, and you will need to inform your manager of any changes in competitive pricing programs or marketing directions. Participation in sales meetings and training programs is essential, as is the accurate completion of all necessary paperwork to support your sales activities. This includes maintaining quality control guidelines for dispositions, sales orders, and sales reporting. You will also be responsible for collecting and accounting for funds, providing receipts in line with company policy and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills, persuasion, and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and during inclement weather.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and various consumer and commercial communications devices.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, particularly data networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred.
