About the position

Sunbelt Supply is a global provider of flow control solutions, maintaining one of the largest and most diversified selections of valves, actuators, actuation accessories, and specialty PFF in North America, comprised of more than 50 major manufacturers. We provide in-house valve automation services, including CAD design and drawings, machine fabrication, assembly shops featuring CNC machinery, and automation repair work. Sunbelt Supply is also an authorized Automation Service Center for Velan, Bettis, Limitorque, and many more. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling FloWorks services to meet sales targets and generate revenue. This role requires responding to customer needs and requirements with the appropriate FloWorks service while maintaining a high level of customer service with existing customers and leveraging relationships to expand business. In this position, you will develop relationships with new clients by prospecting and responding to business development leads. You will monitor and review customer sales activity, making adjustments to processes and strategies as needed. Your responsibilities will include developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales, utilizing your knowledge of core customers and the FloWorks product line. You will be responsible for profitably growing sales to achieve yearly sales goals as a sales consultant for current core industries and emerging industries and markets. This includes prospecting for new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers. The exciting things you will do in this role include conducting on-site customer visits with new and existing customers, managing sales volume with an existing group of customers, and successfully prospecting to expand the customer base. You will forecast, prospect, and bid for new business, including customers, markets, and additional service opportunities. Maintaining existing and building new customer partnerships is crucial, as is developing and sustaining sales relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at all levels of an organization. You will share market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization and establish relationships and working partnerships. Additionally, you will partner with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues, identify customer product needs, and coordinate the execution of orders. You may also conduct negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers, and assist in training or mentoring associates.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in related discipline.
  • Generally, 2-5 years of outside experience in related fields.
  • Consultative selling/solution selling experience is required.
  • Manual valve experience and Automated valve knowhow is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of customer business needs.
  • Knowledge in FloWorks product line and core customers.
