About the position

As an Outside Sales Representative at JASPER Engines & Transmissions, you will play a crucial role in representing the company and driving sales in the Bay Area, specifically in Santa Rosa, Eureka, and Ukiah. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about cultivating business relationships and are eager to contribute to the company's mission of becoming the Brand of Choice for customers and the Employer of Choice for Associate-Owners. You will be responsible for engaging with a variety of clients, including independent repair facilities, local fleets, city and government entities, marinas, and national accounts. It is essential that candidates reside within the designated territory to effectively manage and grow customer relationships. In this role, you will utilize a proven sales system supported by comprehensive marketing materials to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities. You will develop and implement strategic plans tailored to your assigned customers, ensuring that you meet their needs and exceed their expectations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including inside sales, customer service, production, and distribution, will be key to your success. You will also be responsible for introducing new products and updates to your clients, thereby enhancing their experience and fostering long-term, value-based relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a hunter sales mentality, demonstrating motivation and self-starting capabilities. A background in automotive sales or knowledge of the automotive industry will be beneficial, as it will enable you to connect with clients more effectively. Integrity and honesty are paramount in this role, as you will be representing the JASPER brand and its values in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the face of the company and cultivate business with customers in the Bay Area.
  • Call on independent repair facilities, local fleets, city and government entities, marinas, and national accounts.
  • Utilize a proven system of selling with supportive marketing material.
  • Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers in territory.
  • Work with small businesses and regional managers of large worldwide fleets.
  • Perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals and presentations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (inside sales, customer service, production, distribution).
  • Plan and manage accounts.
  • Introduce new products and updates.
  • Develop and build long-term value-based relationships.
  • Focus on prospecting to grow the business.

Requirements

  • Degree or sales experience.
