As an Outside Sales Representative at Peterson Cheese, you will play a crucial role in generating revenue by maintaining a consistent presence in your designated territory, which primarily consists of retail accounts in the Seattle Metropolitan area. This position is vital for developing new accounts and increasing sales at established ones. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales and profit budgets, ensuring that the company continues to thrive in a competitive market. Your key responsibilities will include building strong relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings and regular communication. You will need to research market trends and communicate any fluctuations or shortages that may impact your customers. Establishing pricing based on various factors such as delivery frequency, credit trends, and order volume will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be tasked with prospecting and developing profitable new customers within your territory, maintaining a detailed knowledge of all current Peterson product lines, sales procedures, and the Outside Sales Manual. Resolving customer issues, such as credits, missing products, and account payment status, will be essential to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue generation. This position requires a strong entrepreneurial spirit, as you will manage your responsibilities independently without direct supervision. The role is highly mobile, involving frequent driving, walking, standing, and lifting of up to 40 lbs. You will also need to frequently operate office software and equipment, including MS Office and Navision, to complete your tasks effectively.
