In this role, you will serve our customers by effectively selling our products and meeting their needs. Your primary responsibilities will include servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts. You will plan and organize your daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. By studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor, you will adjust the content of your sales presentations to maximize effectiveness. You will focus your sales efforts by analyzing the existing and potential volume of dealers, ensuring that you are targeting the right opportunities. Submitting orders will involve referring to price lists and product literature, while keeping management informed through activity and results reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. Monitoring competition is crucial, and you will gather current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. Additionally, you will recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments. Resolving customer complaints will be part of your responsibilities, requiring you to investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management. To maintain your professional and technical knowledge, you will attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies. Finally, you will contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, while maintaining historical records on area and customer sales.
