About the position

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA Inc is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our growing sales force in Acworth, Georgia. This role is pivotal in increasing profitable sales within a defined geographical area, focusing on servicing and developing customers, particularly major and target accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and addressing customer problems and complaints, as well as defining and educating potential customers about the company's functions and capabilities. Additionally, the representative will monitor and report industry trends to company management, ensuring that our strategies align with market demands. In this position, you will determine key buying influences at existing and potential customers, establishing strong working relationships that foster business growth. You will develop a comprehensive market plan for your territory, setting quantifiable goals and objectives supported by actionable plans and benchmarks to measure progress. Collaboration with inside sales on special accounts and projects will be essential, as will providing assistance to credit managers as needed. You will schedule and perform sales calls and visits, estimate customer usage of products, and conduct training sessions on products and services for both customers and business unit employees. Your role will also involve following transaction pricing that deviates from the business unit's pricing, reporting significant occurrences and trends to management, and communicating customer product and quality requirements to inside sales and operations. You will recommend additions or deletions to the product catalog and company services, initiate and monitor E-item inventory requirements, and provide recommendations regarding current and potential advertising. Continuous knowledge enhancement of company products, services, and procedures will be expected, along with the maintenance and updating of the customer database. Daily tasks will include downloading, reviewing, and following up on quotes, as well as reviewing daily sales for customer thank you and order review. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2 year college degree/equivalent experience; Or completion of/working toward a 4-year degree (Sales, Business, Marketing).
  • 3-5 years sales experience.
  • Plastics training and/or experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer proficiency.
