As an Outside Sales Representative at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a crucial role in generating profitable business for our Trench Safety division. Your primary responsibility will be to develop your assigned territory by implementing strategic sales plans aimed at expanding our customer base and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will be the face of Sunbelt Rentals, promoting our brand and safety culture while ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service and solutions for their equipment rental needs. In this position, you will actively solicit business by reaching out to both regular and prospective customers through phone calls and in-person visits. You will prepare proposals and bid packages by thoroughly understanding blueprints, plans, and customer documents, collaborating with our engineers and technical resources to ensure that all proposals meet the required engineering and safety standards. Your attention to detail will be essential in preparing customer inquiries and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and comprehensive. You will also be responsible for providing application solutions tailored to customer needs, promoting our customer safety training capabilities, and coordinating project specifications with internal operational personnel to meet customer timelines and requirements. Monitoring competitor products and sales activities within your territory will be key to staying competitive and informed. Maintaining a CRM database will be part of your daily routine, where you will consistently enter sales calls and job site details. In collaboration with management, you will develop and achieve an Annual Territory Sales Plan that sets key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue growth targets. You will work closely with other Outside Sales Representatives to build relationships and highlight the value of our comprehensive solutions, while also educating local representatives on Trench Safety products. Additionally, you will assist accounts payable with delinquent accounts and maintain accurate customer records. Your performance will be measured against regular revenue and market growth targets, and you will be expected to take on other duties as assigned.
