The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for selling products and services offered by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC to both current and new clientele. This role is crucial in increasing sales by developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and clients. The Outside Sales Representative will engage in various duties, including identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Additionally, this position may involve recommending marketing strategies tailored for specific target markets. The pay range for this position is between $55,000 and $60,000 annually, plus commission. Essential duties and responsibilities include building and maintaining a network of sources to identify new sales leads, communicating with customers to understand their product or service needs, and suggesting appropriate products and services. The representative will also demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their specific needs, ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management. This includes resolving any issues that may arise post-sale and maintaining communication with existing and previous customers to inform them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. Moreover, the Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for maintaining detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. They will also provide periodic territory sales forecasts and perform other duties as assigned by management. This role requires a proactive approach to sales and customer service, with a focus on achieving sales targets and fostering long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least five years of related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
