About the position

Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking Outside Sales Representatives to join our team! This position is focused on building relationships and canvassing entities with deep fryers to contract for the purchase of their used cooking oils. The company operates in 15 states and services over 22,000 locations, making this role crucial for expanding our business. It is important to note that this role is technically a purchasing/business development position, meaning there is no customer service or order taking involved. The company has no expectations for employees to work during holidays or long weekends, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for canvassing locations that are within a drive time of no more than 1.5 hours from your designated area or depot location. The company provides both a company car and a cell phone to facilitate your work. Mandatory working hours require you to make your first stop by 9 AM and your last stop after 4 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Thursdays, you will be required to canvass bars, with the first stop by 2 PM and the last stop after 10 PM. This position typically involves working over 50 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with the potential for significant earnings through sales bonuses based on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with entities that have deep fryers to contract for the purchase of used cooking oils.
  • Canvass locations within a designated area to identify potential clients.
  • Utilize cold calling techniques to generate new business leads.
  • Maintain a clean motor vehicle report while driving a company car for work purposes.
  • Meet mandatory working hours and sales metrics to qualify for bonuses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful cold calling experience required.
  • Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle report is required.
  • Hard working and reliable with a drug-free background.
  • Ability to travel to Canada is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Cantonese, Hindi, or Bengali is a bonus.
