About the position

As an Outside Sales Representative at Butch's Propane, LLC, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining propane order volumes and market share. Your primary responsibility will be to locate, develop, close, and maintain sales business relationships within an assigned group of customers and/or territory. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, where you will personally visit client sites and offices throughout the area of operations to generate sales and foster relationships that expand the current customer base. You will be expected to locate new customer relationships through networking and cold calling, developing relationships with potential new clients while also expanding relationships with existing clients. Closing new business deals will involve prospecting leads, developing and negotiating pricing, and establishing repeat order relationships. Networking through various industry and social events will be essential to your success in this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for protecting the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism at all times. Your efforts will directly contribute to growing market share and volume by exploring and embracing assigned opportunities, making your role vital to the company's success in the propane industry.

Responsibilities

  • Personally visit client sites and offices throughout the area of operations to generate sales and maintain relationships.
  • Locate new customer relationships by networking and cold calling.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or business development experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of oil & gas sales experience.
  • Prior propane sales experience preferred.
  • Safe driving history is required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must pass a drug test.

Nice-to-haves

  • Flexible schedule is a plus.
  • Familiarity with propane is a plus.
