About the position

The Outside Sales Representative will manage an existing territory with a strong sales history and customer base, focusing on technical sales of instruments and analyzers across various industries. This role involves engaging with engineers, safety managers, and facilities managers to promote products and services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and proactive business development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 8-12 sales calls per week
  • Attend 2-4 trade shows and professional meetings per month in the territory
  • Sell across the product line
  • Keep CRM database updated
  • Follow up promptly on leads
  • Sell instruments and service plans
  • Troubleshoot product issues and coordinate with the factory for resolution
  • Develop new business through cold calling, lead follow-up, and referrals from existing accounts
  • Maintain relationships with existing accounts by providing high levels of service and introducing new products

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in technical sales, preferably in industrial/manufacturing markets
  • Self-starter willing to learn new products and applications
  • Organized and adept with CRM and MS Office software
  • Honest and ethical
  • Looking for a long-term outside sales position in a territory
