About the position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients in a B2B environment. This role requires a motivated individual with a strong background in outside sales, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for driving business growth. The representative will manage a designated territory, conduct market research, and collaborate with the marketing team to enhance promotional efforts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target potential clients through cold calling and networking efforts.
• Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Manage assigned territory effectively, ensuring all potential leads are pursued.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials that resonate with target audiences.
• Provide technical sales support by understanding product offerings and demonstrating their benefits to clients.
• Prepare regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
• Experience in territory management and account management is highly desirable.
• Background in retail sales or business development is a plus.
• Familiarity with software solutions relevant to the industry is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and overcoming objections.
• Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned territory.
