In this role, the OSR will be responsible for developing a robust network of contacts to generate new leads. The OSR will also demonstrate the functionality and benefits of products to customers, ensuring they are well-informed and satisfied with their choices. Ongoing relationship management is crucial, as the OSR will need to address any post-sale issues that may arise, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Additionally, the OSR will maintain regular communication with existing and previous customers, keeping them informed about new products, services, and enhancements that may be beneficial to them. Detailed reporting of sales activities is also a key responsibility, which includes tracking calls, orders, sales, and any challenges faced in customer or vendor relationships. The OSR will also be tasked with providing periodic sales forecasts for their territory, contributing to the overall sales strategy of 84 Lumber.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
