About the position

Seattle Galvanizing is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for sales and excellent communication skills to transition into an Outside Sales Representative role. In this position, you will be responsible for promoting our galvanizing products and services, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth within a designated territory. This role requires a deep understanding of welding and fabrication processes, along with the ability to effectively convey technical information to potential clients. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's galvanizing products, services, and capabilities. Staying updated on industry trends, innovations, and competitive offerings is crucial. You will identify potential clients and target markets within the assigned territory, actively prospecting and generating new leads through networking, cold calls, and other sales strategies. Developing and executing sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will present product and service offerings to clients, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure sales agreements. Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and demonstrations will be essential. Collaboration with other team members to develop and implement effective sales strategies is also expected, as we have over 500 customers who use our services regularly, and these customers need to be reached via phone or in-person visits. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients is vital. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, you will provide technical expertise and support, conducting regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues. Additionally, you will conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and trends, analyze competitor activities and market conditions to make informed business decisions, and maintain accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales leads, and opportunities. Travel within the assigned territory, which includes Washington State, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alberta, will be required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events. You will manage your territory effectively, prioritizing client visits and sales activities. This Outside Sales Representative position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned welder/fabricator to leverage their technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive sales and contribute to the growth of our company in the galvanizing market.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an adept problem solver.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and communicate the value of products and services to clients.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Adept at building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

  • Lucrative Bonus Pay ranging from $40,000 to $120,000 paid lump sum annually.
