We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our Consumer Direct Sales organization. This role is crucial as we expand our fiber technology across the nation, connecting communities to essential services and opportunities. In this commission-based position, you will be responsible for prospecting customers through door-to-door solicitation within an assigned territory, which includes areas such as Sandusky, Oberlin, and Willard. You will receive leads and sales best practices to help you succeed in this in-person role, which requires you to report to our Norwalk, OH location. The position offers a competitive pay package with expected earnings around $95,000, with the potential to exceed $200,000 annually based on performance. Responsibilities

  • Acquire new residential customers from assigned leads & territories through door-to-door solicitation, outbound calling, lead follow-up, and grassroots marketing events.
  • Analyze, develop, and deliver personalized sales proposals based on customer needs.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings and complete training programs.
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas and targets.
  • Complete all administrative tasks related to products sold following departmental policies, procedures, and quality control guidelines.
  • Stay informed about competitors' activities in the assigned territory and report any changes in competitive pricing or marketing strategies to the manager.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license, car insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel to and from assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle, including during inclement weather.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems, software applications, and communication devices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to maximize customer contact.
  • Strong English language comprehension (spoken and written).

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous success in sales, prospecting, or cold calling, with 6 months+ of direct sales experience.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services, particularly fixed telecommunications services such as cable, fiber, or fixed-wireless access.
  • Ability to educate consumers on related products and services as needed.
