LandrumHR is seeking an Outside Sales Consultant to join our PEO Sales team in the greater Fort Lauderdale, FL area. As a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), we provide essential HR services that help employers navigate human capital challenges. We specialize in staffing, payroll, benefits, risk management, and consulting on talent strategy, organizational design, HR transformation, and workforce planning and analytics. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to leverage their sales skills in a new industry and is a self-starter ready to build a successful sales career with us. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling lists of prospective customers to generate sales leads from various sources, including publications, databases, and client referrals. You will make in-person contacts with potential clients within your assigned territory, aiming to convert these contacts into new clients. Meeting predefined goals for initial contacts, presentations, proposals, and closed contracts is essential. You will also manage all leads from the initial contact to the close of the sale, which includes marketing activities such as teleprospecting and direct mail campaigns. Regular participation in sales meetings and training sessions is expected to enhance your skills and track your performance ratios. Additionally, you will coordinate with and support assigned relationship partners and trusted advisors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Continuous personal education and training are encouraged through in-house resources. You will prepare reports on business transactions and maintain expense accounts while acting as a liaison with existing clients to foster strong relationships and prevent miscommunications. This position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, along with uncapped residual commissions, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and a supportive team environment that prioritizes your success.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from various sources.
  • Makes in-person contacts with potential clients in the assigned territory and converts contacts into new clients.
  • Meets pre-defined goals for initial contacts, presentations, proposals, and closed contracts.
  • Submits weekly sales and prospect tracking reports.
  • Manages all leads from initial contact to close of sale, including marketing activities such as teleprospecting and direct mail.
  • Attends and actively participates in sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Tracks ratios of contacts to presentations, presentations to proposals, and proposals to closes.
  • Seeks out training needed to improve sales performance ratios.
  • Coordinates with and supports assigned relationship partners and trusted advisors.
  • Advances personal education and training by utilizing in-house training materials and resources.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and maintains expense accounts.
  • Acts as a principal liaison with existing clients to prevent miscommunications and competitive inroads.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience.
  • B2B sales experience selling to small to medium-sized businesses is required.
  • B2B sales experience selling to the C-suite is preferred.
  • Consultative selling experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • Must be located in the greater Fort Lauderdale, FL area.
