The role of the Outside Sales Representative is crucial to the company's growth across all market channels. The Sales Representative is responsible for executing the sales strategies and initiatives of the company to achieve and maintain a dominant market share position in the baking industry. This involves identifying and obtaining orders for 100% of the supply needs of customers within their local territory. The position requires the Sales Representative to travel approximately 90%-100% of the time, with overnight travel potentially required. Candidates must have experience in sales, a solid understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the motivation to win business opportunities in a fast-paced environment. The role also demands superb interpersonal skills, enabling the representative to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers. Proficiency in using computers for various tasks, including competency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet, is necessary. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and current auto insurance. A one-year certificate from a college or technical school, along with two years of hands-on bakery experience or prior route sales experience, is required. Experience in the Baking/Food Manufacturing industry is highly desirable, and being bilingual is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the sales initiatives to promote BakeMark USA's strategy for maintaining market share in the baking industry.
