About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at Coastal Heart Pine & Specialty Lumber is a hybrid role focused on field service, customer service, sales, training, and account management. The position requires a proactive approach to identify and engage potential customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The role is primarily based in Savannah, GA, with some flexibility for remote work. The compensation includes a base salary and a competitive commission structure, allowing for significant earning potential.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and referrals.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of sales strategies.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets on a regular basis.
  • Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technology sales or business development.
  • Experience in field service, customer service, or construction/building supply industry.
  • Proven track record of successful sales in a B2B environment.
  • Ability to provide training and support to customers.
  • Experience in account management and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Quickbooks, Excel, Google Sheets.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software is a plus.
  • Experience in the lumber, flooring, and/or construction industry is preferred.
