About the position

Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking Outside Sales Representatives to join our team! This position is focused on building relationships and canvassing entities with deep fryers to contract for the purchase of their used cooking oils. The company operates in 15 states and services over 22,000 locations. This role is primarily a purchasing/business development role, meaning there is no customer service or order taking involved. The company emphasizes that there are no expectations to work holidays or long weekends, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for canvassing locations that are within a drive time of no more than 1.5 hours from your designated area or depot location. The company provides both a company car and a cell phone to facilitate your work. Mandatory working hours require you to make your first stop by 9 AM and your last stop after 4 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Thursdays, you are required to canvass bars, with the first stop by 2 PM and the last stop after 10 PM. The position typically involves working over 50 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. offers a competitive base pay starting at $70,000, along with sales bonuses for every new contract you secure if you meet the established metrics. Motivated representatives can easily earn over six figures, as they can make 1x to 2x their base salary in bonuses. The company has been in business since 2005 and is committed to recycling used cooking oil, contributing to sustainability efforts in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with entities that have deep fryers to contract for the purchase of used cooking oils.
  • Canvass locations within a 1.5-hour drive from the designated area or depot location.
  • Conduct cold calling to secure new contracts.
  • Meet sales metrics to earn bonuses on contracts secured.
  • Travel to Canada as required for business development.

Requirements

  • Driver License with Clean Motor Vehicle Report required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful cold calling experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Hard working and reliable.
  • Drug-free.
