About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at PRO SHRED® Security is a full-time role focused on driving sales through proactive prospecting and closing deals. This position requires a hunter mentality, where the representative will engage with potential customers through calls and in-person visits, aiming to secure contracts for on-site information destruction services. The role emphasizes the importance of following up on leads, maintaining customer relationships, and adhering to company policies while contributing to the company's growth in the sustainable privacy protection sector.

Responsibilities

  • Create target lists using provided tools and update CRM with results.
  • Call past customers for repeat business.
  • Mine new leads through cold calls and door knocks.
  • Follow up on marketing-driven leads promptly.
  • Provide quotes to customers within set ranges to secure business.
  • Follow up with potential customers to compare quotes with competitors.
  • Create monthly reports of activity and track progress.
  • Update CRM system with customer notes from each call.
  • Adhere to PROSHRED®, Naid, and ISO policies and procedures, including pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to understand sales capabilities for the location.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on document security and industry trends.
  • Educate and sell the potential customer on PRO SHRED®'s value proposition.
  • Participate in sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of Sales and Customer Service experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sales focus with an energetic and positive approach.
  • High sense of urgency in addressing customer requests.
  • Experience with prospecting and cold calling is a plus.
  • Good understanding of sales concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and use good judgment in handling requests.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Experience with CRM systems, including reporting capability, is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Information Destruction industry.
  • Familiarity with document security trends.
