As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting and securing new customers for a variety of products including uniforms, linen, first aid supplies, floor mats, restroom supplies, and facility rental services. Each sales consultant is assigned a specific territory filled with potential prospects to maximize success. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and collaborate closely with the General Manager of the Alsco facility. Your primary goal will be to meet or exceed sales quotas, which include a $130 overall sales quota and an $80 Target Market sales quota. You will be expected to proactively identify and motivate targeted prospects through various methods such as cold-calling, email outreach, social media engagement, and lead qualification from the Alsco website. Maintaining an active sales funnel using the company’s CRM system is crucial, as is quickly contacting leads generated through Alsco’s investments in SEO and PPC marketing. You will also participate in company promotions, contests, and training sessions, while adhering to company sales policies and procedures. Building strong relationships with customers, managing their needs, and ensuring a smooth transition for new clients will be key components of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be required to operate a company vehicle safely, maintain its cleanliness, and ensure regular maintenance. Attendance at trade shows and marketing events may also be required, along with monitoring competitor activity in your territory.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure new customers for uniforms, linen, first aid, floor mats, restroom supplies, and facility rental services.
  • Meet or exceed a $130 overall sales quota and an $80 Target Market sales quota, with quarterly and annual bonuses for meeting and exceeding these quotas.
  • Identify, solicit, and motivate targeted prospects using methods such as cold-calling, email, social media, and lead qualifying from the Alsco website.
  • Maintain an active sales funnel using the company CRM system.
  • Quickly contact leads generated through Alsco's digital marketing efforts to maximize winning opportunities.
  • Participate in company promotions, contests, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Follow company sales policies and procedures, including pricing and product guidelines.
  • Build relationships with customers, manage their needs, and work with other departments to transition new customers smoothly.
  • Safely operate a vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Attend and work at trade shows and marketing events as required.
  • Monitor and report competitor activity in your territory.

Requirements

  • Industry experience in linen, textile, and/or outside B2B sales is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record free of chargeable accidents or violations.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to follow directions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in negotiation (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in B2B sales (2 years preferred).
  • General sales experience (2 years preferred).
