About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at ISCO Industries is a pivotal role focused on exploring new business opportunities and building strong customer relationships within a designated territory. This position requires proactive engagement with prospects, which includes making initial contact, resolving any issues that arise, and meticulously recording new prospects into the company database. The representative will also be responsible for representing ISCO at industry, trade, or professional associations, fostering positive relationships that can lead to new business opportunities. In addition to prospecting, the role involves researching and identifying solutions that meet the needs of potential customers. Utilizing various sales tools, the representative will communicate the value of ISCO's products and services effectively, ensuring that prospects understand how these offerings can benefit their operations. Developing accounts and nurturing customer relationships is a key aspect of this position, which may involve forming strategic alliances to maximize revenue opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction. The Outside Sales Representative will prepare sales information, quotes, and market analysis for management, ensuring that all sales efforts are well-documented and strategically planned. This includes engaging in the collection of receivables when necessary and coordinating all sales efforts with the customer service associate. The representative will also be expected to prepare presentations and reports for sales meetings, make informed decisions regarding pricing negotiations, and perform other duties as required to support the sales team and the overall objectives of ISCO Industries.

Responsibilities

  • Exploring new business opportunities and prospects within a designated territory.
  • Making contact with prospects and resolving problems as they arise.
  • Recording new prospects into the database for tracking and follow-up.
  • Representing ISCO within industry, trade, or professional associations to develop positive relationships.
  • Researching solutions to meet prospect and customer needs using available sales tools.
  • Communicating the value of ISCO products and services through various interactions with prospects.
  • Developing accounts and building customer relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Improving customer satisfaction and fostering positive business relationships with customers.
  • Preparing sales information, quotes, and market analysis for management review.
  • Engaging in the collection of receivables as necessary to maintain cash flow.
  • Coordinating all sales efforts, including preparation for and direct interaction with prospects.
  • Researching, preparing presentations, and attending sales meetings as required.
  • Making decisions and negotiating pricing for various sales efforts.
  • Performing other duties as deemed necessary to support sales objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers.
  • Ability to research and identify solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Experience in preparing sales quotes and market analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple prospects and accounts effectively.
