About the position

As a Greater Sacramento-Area Walsworth Yearbook Sales Representative, you will collaborate with school staff to provide journalistic advice, creative guidance, and technical support. This role involves managing existing school accounts while also prospecting for new customers, ensuring the success of each publication through hands-on support and project management. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining high-quality yearbooks and fostering strong relationships with schools in your territory.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel to schools, both customers and prospects, within the territory, minimal overnight stays
• Prospect for new customer accounts and grow market share within assigned territory
• Support customers through every aspect of publication production, keeping them engaged, on schedule, and loyal to our company
• Provide advice and critique on photography, design, journalism, technology, classroom management, marketing and business
• Stay a step ahead of customer schools, keeping them on track with deadlines and budgets
• Coordinate between schools and the production team to ensure the publication stays on point
• Collaborate with other local publication consultants to host training workshops and seminars for students and teachers

Requirements

• Minimum of bachelor's degree
• Prior customer service and sales experience (ideally outside sales)
• Experience in related fields such as teaching, coaching, journalism, graphic design, photography or printing is preferred
• Competitive and driven personality
• Excellent computer literacy skills
• Proficiency in Adobe design software
• Willingness to establish a home office, work independently, & attend regular, in-person meetings with school customers
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Access to a reliable vehicle for daily travel
• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, pass background check and drug screen
