About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at STAline Waterworks is responsible for promoting and selling waterworks products and services to contractors and municipalities. This role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and providing superior service. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of waterworks products and a proven track record in sales, with a focus on customer success and business development.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell products and services primarily in-person to a variety of customers.
• Manage account relationships within an assigned territory by regularly communicating with and visiting customers in-person.
• Proactively seek opportunities to grow sales by researching, contacting, and personally visiting prospective customers.
• Increase market share within assigned territory by determining customer needs and monitoring competition.
• Engage key decision makers and influencers to retain and grow business.
• Follow-up on leads and open opportunities.
• Provide product pricing and availability over the phone, in person, or through various electronic technologies.
• Provide suggestions and options to customers using detailed knowledge of products and their intended application.
• Utilize selling and relationship building skills to meet or exceed monthly sales and margin goals.
• Independently manage numerous accounts to ensure pricing is competitive and adds value for the customer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four year college or technical school.
• Proven track record in sales and business development, with emphasis on driving revenue growth.
• Extensive knowledge about waterworks products strongly preferred.
• Effective use of negotiation techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, or public.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
