About the position

The Outside Sales Representative will serve as the primary contact for established customers in the industrial and municipal sectors, focusing on providing solutions related to pumps and related products. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, technical support, and collaboration with the inside sales team to drive sales growth and meet client needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in field sales calls to industrial and municipal end-user plants, offices, and consulting firms within a designated territory.
  • Utilize the CRM system to reference, plan, and document sales activities, contributing to sales growth and profit management.
  • Collaborate with the inside sales team to provide technical and sales support for parts, repair services, and new applications.
  • Facilitate training sessions and implement strategies to expand business opportunities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products, technical solutions, and necessary remedies to clients.
  • Contribute to the design and development of custom systems to meet client needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience in outside industrial sales or relevant field.
  • Engineering or technical degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in industrial and fluid handling equipment with the ability to discuss technical aspects confidently.
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently to achieve targeted results, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Self-directed, motivated, and able to thrive in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Residency within the designated territory is essential for this role.
