About the position

Qual Chem is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to cover the San Diego market. This position offers the independence and financial freedom that many sales professionals desire. As a nationwide chemical company, Qual Chem has been expanding rapidly since its establishment in 1984 and incorporation in 2004. All chemicals are manufactured in the U.S., and the company supplies a diverse range of clients, including military bases, major hotels, hospitals, school districts, municipalities, senior housing, golf courses, and various levels of government. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing business within existing accounts while also cold calling into new accounts face-to-face. The ideal candidate will possess a self-starting mentality and be able to work with minimal supervision. Qual Chem provides comprehensive sales training on their products and how to effectively demonstrate them. The position is structured as an independent contractor (1099), meaning there is no ceiling on commissions, and you can expect to earn between $100,000 to $200,000 in commission earnings in your first year, with the potential to earn $300,000 or more in subsequent years due to client reorders. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends, evenings, or holidays required. Qual Chem also offers a customer service department to assist with order placements and client support, as well as reliable distribution centers for shipping orders. Candidates must provide their own vehicle, proof of insurance, a cell phone, and a computer with email access. Background checks are mandatory, and the company offers corporate incentive vacations, a health insurance allowance, and a gas allowance.
