Pepco, a brand of the Springfield Electric operating company owned by Sonepar, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to focus on commercial construction accounts in the greater Cleveland market. This position is integral to our growth strategy, as it emphasizes end-to-end selling of commercial products, gear, lighting, and other commodities that a distributor offers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, particularly within the industrial field, and will be responsible for driving organic growth within existing accounts while also developing new business opportunities. In this role, the Outside Sales Representative will be tasked with obtaining opportunities for orders by setting up appointments and personally visiting current and potential customers. This includes verifying bills of material and communicating expected delivery requirements and customer value-added needs. The representative will also report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management, ensuring that our strategies align with market demands. The position requires a proactive approach to increasing orders by suggesting related items, explaining product features, and understanding a customer's buying history. The representative will negotiate, prepare, and execute all verbal and written quotations, projects, and blankets to secure orders in conjunction with support staff. Additionally, the role involves researching and providing unique solutions that best fit a customer's needs, continually identifying, developing, and maintaining new and current customer and vendor relationships. The representative will also be expected to develop business acumen and industry knowledge, performing other duties as required to support the team and company goals.
