The Outside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in selling the diverse range of products and services offered by the company to both current and new clientele. This position is essential for maintaining and expanding our customer base, ensuring that we meet the needs of our clients effectively. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of sources to identify new sales leads. This involves communicating with customers and leads to understand their product or service needs, and suggesting appropriate products and services that meet those needs. The representative will demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their specific requirements. Ensuring customer satisfaction is paramount, and the representative will maintain ongoing communication and relationship management, resolving any issues that may arise post-sale. Additionally, the representative will keep in touch with existing and previous customers, alerting them to new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. Detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems, must be maintained. The role also requires providing periodic territory sales forecasts and performing other duties as assigned. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, but it is critical for the growth and success of Brame's sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs.
  • Identifies and suggests products and services that meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least three to five years of related experience is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Ability to pass company background screening, motor vehicle report and drug testing requirements.
