About the position

The Outside Sales Representative role at SmartTalent involves actively promoting and selling products to both existing and potential customers in the manufacturing sector. The position requires a strong focus on meeting sales goals, developing new customer accounts, and maintaining exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of B2B sales experience and must be able to travel to meet clients and build relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and market pricing.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market activity and competitive trends.
  • Meet or exceed new business sales goals.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for establishing new customer accounts.
  • Service existing customer accounts with exceptional customer service.
  • Organize and prepare a weekly schedule of customer appointments and cold call prospecting activities.
  • Schedule regular travel to maintain and grow customer relationships.
  • Make joint sales calls with distributor representatives.
  • Communicate and assist in resolution of customer concerns, questions, product returns, and pricing issues.
  • Create solutions that ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Work with Customer Service on customer billing issues and/or product returns.
  • Provide sales management with call plans and results on a weekly basis.
  • Observe, learn, and make recommendations that may improve team efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in Manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Valid WA state driver's license and own vehicle.
