About the position

Spectrum is evolving its broadband business, and as part of this transformation, we are seeking a dedicated Residential Connectivity Outside Sales Specialist in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role is pivotal in connecting our communities with essential telecommunication services. As a member of our newly formed Residential Connectivity Sales team, you will be responsible for door-to-door solicitation of new prospective customers, helping to power millions of gig-enabled households with our state-of-the-art solutions, including Spectrum Internet®, TV, mobile, and voice services. Your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for people will be key in achieving your financial and career goals in this dynamic environment. In this position, you will be expected to actively support efforts to enhance the customer experience while acquiring new residential customers through proactive consultative needs analysis. You will develop and present tailored sales presentations that meet the specific needs of customers, ensuring that you accurately complete all necessary paperwork to support your sales activities. Your success will be measured by your ability to achieve monthly sales quotas across various products, including high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video services. You will also be required to stay informed about competitors' activities in your assigned territory and participate in all sales meetings and training programs to support team goals. The role offers flexibility in your schedule, allowing you to work during evenings and weekends when customers are most available. Responsibilities

  • Actively supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Acquires new residential customers through door-to-door contact from assigned leads.
  • Conducts proactive consultative needs analysis with new prospective customers.
  • Develops and presents sales presentations/proposals on products and services that meet customers' needs.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork to support sales activities in accordance with quality control guidelines.
  • Participates in all sales meetings and training programs as assigned.
  • Achieves monthly sales quotas in high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video sales.
  • Completes all administrative tasks related to products sold in accordance with department practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Informs manager of any changing competitive pricing programs, marketing directives, or door-to-door sales tactics.
  • Attends and successfully completes training programs.
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to listen, formulate needs-based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services.
  • A passion to succeed and a strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers.
  • Ability to travel to and from assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate.
  • A valid driver's license, car insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals.
