The Outside Sales Representative at Bobcat Central Inc. is a full-time position that focuses on the sale of Bobcat Compact Equipment within a designated territory, specifically covering El Dorado, Alpine, and Amador counties. The successful candidate will be a proactive 'hunter' who is responsible for generating leads, initiating prospect calls, and ultimately driving revenue growth for the company. In this position, the Outside Sales Representative will be expected to apply their industry knowledge to identify and pursue sales opportunities effectively. They will be responsible for selling and promoting all approved product lines within their territory, ensuring that they continually meet or exceed sales quotas and expectations. The role also involves providing management with regular oral and written reports on customer needs and market trends, as well as keeping product knowledge current through ongoing education and literature review. Responsibilities

  • Develop revenue generation through the creation of sales leads and initiation of prospect calls.
  • Apply knowledge of the industry to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Sell and promote all approved product lines within a designated sales territory.
  • Continually meet or exceed sales quotas and expectations.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs.
  • Keep product knowledge current and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Three plus years of experience in a sales role within the equipment industry.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others.
  • Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Understanding of what it takes to build successful customer relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
  • Experience in dealership sales (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in B2B sales (2 years preferred).
