About the position

This Outside Sales position is focused on increasing sales and profit margins by expanding business with existing accounts and generating new strategic business opportunities. The role involves collaboration with Inside Sales and Management, making business-to-business sales calls, and maintaining a strong customer base while actively researching and converting leads into customers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and deliver upon a defined set of Best Business Practices for the Outside Sales role.
  • Prospect, plan, prioritize, and manage territory effectively.
  • Create, implement, and execute a sales plan to increase market share in a designated territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with strategic customers to maintain and grow sales and margin.
  • Develop proposals, contracts, and agreements to secure long-term business.
  • Introduce new materials to customers and educate them on their use and applications.
  • Develop new customers through prospecting and lead follow-up, selling value-added services and solutions.

Requirements

  • Two plus years of experience in a sales field.
  • Knowledge of Plastics or Distribution experience is helpful.
