About the position

Johnstone Supply is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join their team. This role offers the opportunity for significant earning potential and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the HVAC industry. The representative will be responsible for generating new leads, conducting assessments, and providing product demonstrations, all while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cold call potential clients to generate new leads
  • Conduct on-site visits and assessments to evaluate clients' HVAC needs
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to showcase HVAC products and services
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales proposals and quotes based on client requirements
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements with clients to close sales deals
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand professional network and identify business opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas set by the organization
  • Assist customers with technical questions or issues related to HVAC products
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends using CRM software
  • Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and phone/email correspondence

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers and different software programs
  • Ability to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift, and carry items up to 75 pounds
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales
  • Proficiency in CRM software
  • HVAC industry experience
  • Experience with Phocus and Eclipse software
