About the position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing a customer base within a large geographic territory. This role requires a strong background in outside sales, with a focus on achieving revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Sales Director. The representative will assist customers in product selection, follow up on quotes, and participate in industry events to promote the company's offerings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow customer base with a large geographic territory
• Create & execute specific strategic plans to profitably grow the business
• Attain revenue targets and KPIs as set by the Sales Director
• Assist and guide customers in product selection and influence sales towards strategic brands
• Continuous follow-up on assigned quotes
• Achieve a quote to close ratio of 20% or greater
• Evaluate, monitor, and resolve sales-related issues in a timely manner
• Participate in construction site meetings as required to assist in issue resolution
• Collect market intelligence and competitor activity information and share through company database
• Provide timely and accurate forecasts on sales projections
• Generate accurate and timely field reports
• Participate in industry and promotional events

Requirements

• Outside Sales Experience is a MUST
• Driver's License (Required)
• Willingness to travel (50%)
• 5 years of outside sales experience (Required)
• 3 years of established book of business (Required)

Nice-to-haves

• Carpentry skills preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred, not required
